Keep the kids busy this holiday season

With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it's always good to have a few tricks up your sleeve to keep the kids occupied.

Here is something I tried tonight. It worked so well, I knew I just had to share it! It kept my 18 month old AND my 10 year old occupied for quite a while. Then my teenagers started joining in. They all were hanging out together and getting along. I'm telling you, you NEED this in your life! It was fantastic! What's even better, it is SO easy to make! Plus you probably have all the ingredients in your cupboard already.

You will need:

1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Salt
1 TBS Cinnamon
2 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cloves
2 tsp Cream of tartar
1 cup Water
2 TBS Oil

Mix all of the dry ingredients

Add water and oil. Mix well.

Cook on Medium-low heat until a thick dough starts to form and begins to pull away from the sides. Then dump it on a piece of wax paper on your counter.

Let it cool for a minute or two then start kneading. Knead until it looks and feels like play-dough.

Your kitchen will smell just like Christmas! Then call the kiddos to the table and break out the cookie cutters and let them create!

This is really simple to make and takes only a few minutes. It could be a fun gift for kids to give friends or Moms to give other Moms.
